Development update: Windows x64 release
Run your own ZOTHEOS.
The updated Windows desktop has been built for internal testing. First-run setup, installation and clean-machine checks are still in progress before a public download.
The Windows x64 desktop is ready to download. Models are a separate choice, made in Model Setup after installation.
No replacement installer is available from this page yet. The release filename, checksum and instructions will be published together when that candidate is ready.

The goal is broad access using the hardware people already own. Current installer validation is for Windows x64.The current installer is for Windows x64. Older computers, kiosks and compact systems still need compatible processors, enough memory and a supported runtime.
Built, then checked.
Development continues after this release. Each update is dated in the log below.

Updated desktop built for internal testing
Security and three-role model-persistence repairs are accepted in source. The updated backend and desktop shell were built internally. A packaged-test process-tracking correction is also committed.
Those source and build milestones do not establish a finished installer or a complete runtime pass. Desktop validation continues from the corrected test helper.
What still needs to work.
- First-run Model Setup, saved models returning after reopening, and recovery when setup is incomplete.
- Complete split-model downloads and a working single-voice startup path for smaller machines.
- Installation, upgrade, data preservation and tests on a clean machine.
- Desktop network observations and checks of the actual WebView2 window.
Models are a separate choice.
The intended baseline is Windows x64 with a CPU engine. Model Setup recommends packs using hardware readings, browses Hugging Face and imports compatible local GGUF files. Council downloads require an explicit choice. Starter packs are a beginning rather than a fixed catalog; each model retains its own license.
Initial setup can use the internet for model and helper files. Local inference works after the required files are available. Optional network tools have separate requirements. GPU acceleration and other desktop platforms remain future work; universal hardware compatibility is not established.
The hardware families describe our development direction, including everyday computers and reused machines. They are not a verified compatibility list. Explore model choice to understand formats, available memory and licensing.
Your data stays yours.
The desktop uninstaller is designed to remove the application while preserving personal data. Data deletion is a separate decision, not an uninstall step. The replacement candidate's upgrade and preservation route is still being checked.
The internal Windows candidate is unsigned. Windows security checks and release-specific installation instructions will be documented with the published artifact. Signing alone does not complete setup, portability or release validation.
Compare the installer's SHA-256 checksum with the one at the top of this page before you run it.
Access is not rented.
The local edition is free for individual use. Voluntary support funds development and testing; it does not unlock features, access, priority or influence. Institutional deployment and support may be paid, but they are not required for individual local use.
The website waitlist sends your email to Formspree for development and release updates. Joining is not a promise of an immediate invitation or a finished download.Joining is optional: the download on this page does not require it.
