Population
Panama's 2023 census counted 23,898 Buglé people; about 12,000 of them live in the Ngäbe-Buglé comarca, which they share with the Ngäbe.

Under Panama's 1997 comarca law, the comarca's General Congress is the highest body for the ethnic and cultural voice and decisions of the Ngäbe-Buglé people.
